I've been talking with a well respected luthier near where I live. I told him that I was swirling a guitar with Humbrol enamels. He said that whatever I do, do NOT apply lacquer over enamel paint. He said that lacquer on top of enamel will wrinkle the enamel.
I was then recommended to use a (poly)urethane clear-coat instead.
I haven't seen much info, or any regarding (poly)urethane clear-coating on this forum. Has anyone used this? And if so, can you throw some reliable brands/types of spray cans for me please?
PS - From the same source, I also was advised that the (poly)urethane spray that I should use should NOT be the fast drying stuff, but the slower drying stuff. Anyone
