I think for newbies at the game, there should be a sticky at the top of the C/MM forums outlining the following:

-Type of Sealer
-Type of Primer
-Type of Base Coat
-Type of Clear

To be used with Magic Marble paints.

I KNOW I KNOW the old forum rules stand-by *search before you ask*
(which i have), but i think that is the kind of thing that should be instantly found stickied at the top of a page somewhere....

But i know that i have been reviewing these and other swirling forums for a month or two, and still i feel like there is no definitive *READ THIS, THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED TO DO* kind of post for magic marble use...

So, for the sake of helping those who need it can someone post a SINGLE, LOCKED, post that newbies can follow with great results, and sticky that shtuff!

Peace, love, and swirls,
all throughout this crazy world
*snaps*

Lol, i guess i will have to then won't i?

I am just in the pre-sealer step right now,
once i get her all done i will do a full write-up that will help out the canadian folks.

(why wouldn't i come show off the process to the only people who have respect for the craft :p )

Right now the guitar (RG350DX) is sanded down, i bondo'd the dents and imperfections, and am getting ready to seal it with minwax indoor/outdoor spar urethane. (have urethane sandable auto primer, and plan on finishing with spraymax 2k urethane clear)

Got my magic marble in the mail yesterday (!!! whoop), so once i put on a couple coats of sealer, get her sanded down, put a couple coats of primer on, sand that, she'll be ready!!

So I can probably get her ready to dip by tomorow night............

hehe, just kidding :)

About Me

My name is Tony and I am a Web Developer by trade, I created this site after I recieved huge numbers of emails about my GMC swirl YouTube video on how to swirl a guitar to look like a Steve Vai Ibanez Jem.

I have been a fan of swirled guitars since seeing the first GMC in the Ibanez brochure, unfortunatly I could never afford one so went about figuring out how it was done. When I started swirling I was living in Guernsey and I bought a mahogany Jem body which is the one in the first GMC video.
